Any Differences: For the most part she will look the same in appearance. Her hair will change to a pure black. Her eyes will be blue instead of silver. (Until her first echo) For the most part in terms of clothes she'll keep the same colour scheme but she'll mainly wear hoodies, jeans and sneakers.

Preincarnated History: Alright, so here's the deal. There's this world called Remnant, right? And the whole place is pretty much overrun by these monsters called the Creatures of Grimm. Basically they are top of the food chain there and humanity is kind of below them, to the point where there are actually only four cities in the entire world. Humanity has spent most of it's existence fighting the Grimm to survive and has only recently been able to set up and live somewhat peacefully.

How did they do this you might ask? Well they managed to get they're hands on this stuff called Dust, which is basically crystal or sand like stuff that lets people use magical powers. Humans loaded that crap up into weapons and used it to lay the smack down on the Grimm so that they'd stay off humanity’s lawn.

Now to keep the Grimm off their property, humanity started to set up schools to teach children how to lay the smack down on these monsters.

Now you're probably wondering; yo man? What about the character you're supposed to be applying for? Well jeez man, be a bit patient I'm getting to that.

Ruby Rose is one of those kids who wants to learn how to lay the smack down on the monsters. Her older sister used to read her stories about heroes doing the right thing and fighting the good fight and she wants to do that too. So, she was already going to school to get on that and she learned how to fight with a pretty cool gun scythe.

One day when she was minding her own business in a store, it was robbed by some bad dudes but she totally kicked their butts. Their leader guy escaped in a jet and his boss tried to blow Ruby up with magical powers but she was saved by Glynda Goodwitch.

Glynda brings Ruby in for committing acts of vigilante justice, except she's not actually a cop. She's one of those people that fights the monsters and her boss is like the headmaster of the best monster hunting school around. So it turns out this isn't an arrest for taking the law into her own hands, it's more of an interview to get her into her dream school. She manages to wow them through a few acts of sheer adorableness and showing that she actually has an idea or two of who these people are and what they do.

So Ruby gets pulled ahead two years so that she can attend the really cool monster hunting school with sister. When the two of them get to Beacon, (that's name of the school place by the way) Yang (oh, that's her sisters name) ditches Ruby when she attempts to cling on to her because Ruby left all her friends behind at her old school. Dismayed at this turn of events, Ruby collapses onto a crabby girl's luggage and makes some of that Dust stuff explode in their faces. Needless to say the other girl, Weiss Schnee, is rather miffed about her stuff being knocked around and blown up. The two argue but that's quickly stopped by another student, Blake Belladonna, who breaks the two up and then promptly bails out on the situation before Ruby can thank her for her help.

Shortly after Ruby runs into Jaune Arc, a guy who threw up on the airship she rode in on, and the two chat it up and become pretty fast friends. Ruby explains that she made her crazy scythe gun all by herself at her old school as the both of them make their way into Beacon. Once they get inside, Ruby runs into Yang and yells at her for ditching her until Weiss shows up to yell at Ruby some more for blowing stuff up earlier. The lot of them are stopped when the headmaster guy, whose name is Ozpin, addresses everyone with a droll spiel about how this school isn't going to teach them everything they need to know to survive in the world and that they're gonna have to do some stuff for themselves.

That night Ruby and Yang try to befriend Blake. It doesn't look like things are going so well as Blake doesn't seem too interested in anything that the girls have to say. They end up getting interrupted again by Weiss who complains about the lot of them making too much noise.

The next morning, Ruby and Yang talk about teams being formed in the initiation they'll be participating in that day. Ruby's convinced that she doesn't need to work with other people because she can take on monsters fine by herself. Yang asks her what she's going to do when they form teams and she says she'll just be on Yang's team if that happens. She gets upset when Yang suggests she might want to try being on a team with someone else.

Outside it's explained to them by Ozpin that they shall be literally catapulted into the forest below where they will have to find a temple, pick up a relic and return without being killed by monsters for their initiation. Much to Ruby's dismay, he goes on to say that the first person they see when they land will be their team mate for the next four years while they're at the school.

When Ruby lands in the forest she tries her best to find Yang, but finds herself unfortunately teamed up with Weiss. Ruby assures her that while she isn't exactly the best at dealing with people, she can take on monsters and runs off ahead. Weiss calls for her to come back but Ruby's nowhere to be found when a pack of Beowolves emerge. Remember those creatures of Grimm I mentioned? Beowolves are some of those. Weiss prepares to engage them but before she launches her first attack, Ruby jumps back onto the scene and into her way to take one of the monsters out. Weiss has to redirect her attack to avoid hitting Ruby and sets part of the forest on fire in the process.

Ruby and Weiss quickly retreat after starting the fire. Ruby is upset that they ran as she was pretty sure they could have taken the monsters, and Weiss blames Ruby for jumping in all willy-nilly for the whole forest being set on fire thing. The two argue and end up getting lost in the forest until they hitch a ride on a Nevermore (A giant freakin' raven monster) to find the temple they're looking for.

Once they arrive and reunite with all the other students, Ruby tries to take on a giant scorpion monster all by herself and that doesn't go over to well for her. She's saved by Weiss who manages to freeze the thing in place. She tells Ruby that the only way they're going to get through this is by working together and that she'll be less of a jerk if Ruby stops showing off. The two make up and Ruby grabs a relic for the both of them.

All the students make an attempt to get back to where they started but are forced to fight the giant raven and scorpion. Ruby comes up with a ridiculous plan to launch herself with a giant slingshot to cut off the raven's head. With the help of Weiss, Yang, and Blake it actually works. They pass the initiation and the four of them are put together to form Team RWBY, led by Ruby.

The very next morning, they attend their first class and Ruby spends most of it goofing off much to Weiss' displeasure. After class Weiss storms off and Ruby chases after to find out why she's so upset. Weiss tells Ruby that she's behaving like a child and has done nothing to earn her position. She walks away after telling Ruby that Ozpin made a mistake by making her team leader.

Ruby runs into Ozpin shortly after and asks him if Weiss was right. Ozpin tells her that it's pretty hard to know that because it's only been one day. If she wants her teammates to listen to her, then she's going to have to pull up her socks and act at her best because she's gotta set an example for them to follow her. Later on that night, Weiss returns and finds that Ruby has fallen asleep while studying. She wakes her up and the both of them make up with each other for how they acted earlier that day.

Reincarnated History: Robyn Lyre was born August 12th, 1998 and raised in Locke City, New Jersey. Both her parents worked a lot while she was growing up and spent a majority of her time by herself, something that's made her fairly independent if not a little awkward socially.

Her father is a journalist and spent a few years overseas from the time she turned five all the way until after her eighth birthday. His time away caused some strain on the relationship between him and her mother and the two split up around the time Robyn was ten. She moved away from Locke City with her mom when the divorce happened but stayed in New Jersey until she was twelve, at which point they moved to California. All the moving around gave Robyn little time to make any lasting friendships and her school marks suffered for it as well. While she didn't have many friends, she developed a love for Superhero comics and started taking guitar lessons.

Now at fifteen, Robyn's mom is planning to move once again, this time to Europe but instead of taking Robyn with her, she thinks it's best that Robyn stay in the country and has sent her back to Locke City to live with her dad. Robyn isn't particularly thrilled at the idea of moving once again, but it's not particularly something she has much of a choice in.

Preincarnation Personality: Innocent to adorable extremes, Ruby's a hyperactive girl who wants nothing more than to be a Huntress. (Oh yeah, I don't think I mentioned it up there, but those people who hunt monsters? They're called Huntsman and Huntresses.) Why does she want to do it? Well her sister used to read her stories about heroes and junk, Huntresses just happen to be the coolest heroes around in her opinion and she wants to be just like them; fighting evil monsters and making the world a better place for the people in it.

Ruby absolutely loves weapons, to the point where she says that seeing new weapons is better than meeting new people. She designed and built her first weapon Crescent Rose all by herself while at her previous school.

One thing that she doesn't seem to have going for her is brains. She can be a little awkward and say dumb things. For the most part when it comes to the first impression, Ruby is the absolute worst at it, whether it's tripping over luggage to reminding someone that they threw up the very first time she saw them. This is mainly out of innocent ignorance though and once she realizes she's made a mistake, she strives hard not to repeat the process.

Not only is a touch awkward when it comes to people, she has a hard time breaking out of her comfort zone. When she first arrives at Beacon she does her best to try and cling to her sister because she's someone she knows and feels comfortable with. She tries to say she doesn't need other people to help her but she'll constantly fall back on her sister when there's any mention of teaming up.

Ruby can be fairly impulsive. She'll run into a situation without thinking and hope for the best. If things don't work out for her though, she doesn't just give it, she usually puts a bit more thought into the situation and comes back to give it another shot. There are numerous points where she just dashes in and causes problems then she solves during the initiation to Beacon, but in the end it's her plan that helps pull the group the situation.

Any Differences:

Robyn didn't grow up with a sister to depend on and her parents weren't home very often, so she'll still be awkward when it comes to social situations because she spent a lot of time at home alone, but she wont really be as dependent on other people to help her through a situation.

Living in a world that isn't pretty much roaming with monsters, a dream job of hunting them isn't exactly feasible for her. While she's grown up loving superheroes and other fantasy stories, she wont really see a point to aspiring to be just like those heroes.

Ruby had a pretty simple mindset, she knew what she wanted to do and a was out to prove that she capable of doing it. Robyn has spent a lot of time being moved from one place to another and while she's capable of looking after herself, she hasn't had a lot of control in what's happening in her life. She hasn't really spent a lot of time figuring out what exactly she wants to do in the future. She'll be directionless and just kind of go with the flow of what's happening around her.

Abilities:

Aura – There's not a whole lot of information on just what Aura actually is, it's described as a manifestation of a persons soul. It can act as a barrier to prevent harm, it can be focused and used as a weapon, and some weapons can draw power from a persons aura.
For the most part Ruby seems to rely on barrier part of this.

Semblance – There's a not a whole of information on what a semblance actually is, but it's described as an ability that is unique for every person. Ruby's allows to her move at blinding speeds, leaves a trail of rose petals behind her as she moves.

Weapon Assembly: One of the things all the students who attended the school Ruby was in before getting accepted to Beacon were expected to do was forge their own weapons. Ruby's transformable scythe was actually designed and made all by herself.

Fighting Skills: Ruby was taught how to fight by her uncle Qrow, apparently she wasn't very good at all before he took her under his wing. See what I did there? I thought it was pretty clever. She combines her already impressive speed with the kickback from Crescent Roses' shots to make her go even faster. She basically becomes a high speed death blender, it's pretty cool.
She's also a pretty darn good shot with the gun put of her scythe as well, she's all like pew pew pew! And the monsters tend to die when they get shot.

4. Pick up sunglasses so I don't have to explain the whole eyes changing color thing to dad. No, too obvious. Maybe there's a place in town that sells colored contacts?
